What Will You Do at KGH?

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department; partner with the leadership team to help execute the organization’s human resource strategy; and serve as a link between the organization’s management and its employees.  This Full-Time position reports to the Director of Finance.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  1. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.

  2. Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.

  3. Manages the hiring and onboarding process.

  4. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

  5. Manages all employee benefits.

  6. Collaborates with leadership team to create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

  7. Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  8. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  9. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  10. Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  2. A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.

  3. Strong background in conflict resolution skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  4. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
