Position Summary:

As a Licensed Occupational Therapist at KGH Autism Services, you will be at the forefront of transformative care for children with autism. You’ll have the opportunity to design and implement innovative, evidence-based treatment programs that foster independence and enrich the lives of our clients and their families. Imagine collaborating with a passionate interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive! Program Development:
  • Conduct engaging training and presentations to promote awareness and support program initiatives.
  • Mentor practicum students and contribute to professional development for staff.
  • Uphold the highest professional and ethical standards in all activities.
Consultation:
  • Facilitate workshops for families and schools, providing ongoing support and training.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including Speech Therapists, Mental Health Providers, and more—to implement best practice interventions tailored for children with autism.
Treatment:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) focused on the unique needs of each child.
  • Utilize evidence-based methods to design and implement effective therapy programs.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
Occupational Therapist Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Possess a license to practice Occupational Therapy in Wisconsin or demonstrated eligibility pending application.
  • Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or related disorders preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced Sensory Processing Disorders preferred.
